The Woodlands Christian Academy

The Woodlands Christian Academy is an accredited, independent, Christ-centered college preparatory school offering learning in an enriched environment for students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12. The school is conveniently located in The Woodlands, on a beautiful 40-acre campus, offering a vibrant setting for students.

Christ Community School

Conveniently located in Shenandoah, TX, Christ Community School (CCS) is a nondenominational Christian school serving the K – 6th grades. CCS is committed to ensuring that their students receive the highest quality education, a low student-to-teacher ratio, and strong moral training through the incorporation of biblical principles into the entire curriculum. To meet the needs of a rapidly growing student population in the North Houston area, CCS has added a new, 18,000 square foot multi-purpose building which will be open this August for the 2014-2015 school year.

The new building will serve as the primary location of the school, and will contain the new library, cafeteria, gymnasium, and state-of-the-art enrichment classrooms such as Music and Art.

Concordia Lutheran High School​

Concordia Lutheran High School has been providing a Christ-centered education to the surrounding area since 1984. The student body is comprised of families from communities such
as The Woodlands, Magnolia, Cypress, Spring, Conroe and Klein. Concordia is committed to “Building lives of excellence upon the foundation of Christ”. Christian faith is integrated into the curriculum, including devotions and prayer time in the classroom and weekly chapel services and assemblies.

Students participate in spiritual life activities through community volunteer opportunities and mission trips to other countries. Concordia’s teachers are caring, dedicated, Christian educators that challenge every student to develop academically, physically and spiritually. State championships in choir, athletics and academic competition solidify the strength of Concordia’s programs. Covenant Christian School

Covenant’s mission is for every student to develop a sincere desire to impact the world with excellence, and to glorify God in every area of life – from academics, athletics and artistic endeavors to family interactions and community service. Covenant Christian School is a non-denominational, college-preparatory school founded in 1982 and serves approximately 290 students in Pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The school is nationally accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS).

Covenant’s certified teachers offer a balanced, faith-based, college preparatory curriculum and
incorporate experiential learning opportunities to promote a true love of learning. Covenant’s low
teacher/student ratio fosters an environment where students are challenged to fulfill their potential
evidenced in consistently high scores on standardized achievement tests and more than 98% attend colleges and universities.

The John Cooper School

Cooper enables students to become creative thinkers, responsible citizens, and lifetime learners. Cooper is a PK-12 independent college preparatory day school where 1,100 students attend classes on a 43-acre campus. Founded in 1988, Cooper is accredited by The Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and is noted for its small classes, personal attention and excellence in academ-ics, arts, athletics, and community service. Cooper combines traditional educational practices with innovative programs to teach students to think, question, analyze, create, understand, and take responsibility for their world.

Cooper is a diverse community, with international students from 31 different foreign countries comprising 16 percent of the student body. Students are recognized nationally and statewide for achievements each school year in academics, fine arts and athletics. Spanish and French are offered along with 20 AP courses in grades 9-12. The Visual and Performing Arts offerings consistently receive prestigious awards. 3-D visual arts classes and Aerial Arts are unique to the school.

Over 75% of the students play at least one sport: girls volleyball and softball, boys baseball and football, and boys and girls cross country, soccer, basketball, track, tennis, swimming and golf. Varsity teams compete in the highly regarded Southwest Preparatory Conference and have won
conference championships. Cooper contributes to the greater community on a school-wide basis through the annual Habitat for Humanity Project and the Empty Bowls Project. The average SAT scores from Cooper’s last two graduating classes are 662 in critical reading, 675 in math and 662 in writing and graduates are accepted to top colleges and universities. Seniors in the Class of 2013 were offered over $1.7 million in merit scholarships and accepted over $850,000 from organizations and academic institutions.

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School

St. Anthony of Padua is an award-winning National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, excelling in science, math and technology. SAOPCS provides a learner-centered curriculum that recognizes individual learning styles, maintains high academic standards, and nurtures the development of a life-long love of learning. Graduates of SAOPCS meet or exceed academic and extra curricula requirements. basis for developing an appreciation of diversity in today’s local and global communities. Catholic faith is taught and modeled throughout the curriculum and is interwoven through each student’s daily experiences. PreK3 through Kindergarten provides a safe and nurturing environment; classroom experiences promoting discovery, exploration and creativity; thematic units of instruction; hands-on child-centered activities; and the integration of technology, music and art. The elementary program, 1st through 5th grades, instruction combines many methods and programs to address learning styles as well as the gifts and talents of the students. Classroom instruction is enhanced through hands-on activities, cooperative learning, and units of study. Middle school (6th through 8th grades) addresses the mental, physical and spiritual transformations of young adolescents through challenging and exploratory curriculum including some high school credit courses. Strong leadership skills are developed through participation in student organizations, athletics, academic and fine arts competitions and performances, as well as guest speakers.
